This is a logo I designed for a local Pharmacy... it never got used... they never decided on a logo and just kept the crappy sign of serify DOOM... guh.

no no, not a crit, just stating that it's lame that they didn't use the design. It's freakin sweet lookin and then they just say "Screw it, we're gonna stick with what we have...". That sucks man. It's a nice corporate piece. =)

When I first look at this piece I think genetics and mutation. Mayby they were scared the patrons would want genetic upgrades? I really enjoy it!

Im not sure I would use this as a pharmaceutical logo..... an interesting design I will say.....

What tool did you use for this, is it a vector design or a simple raster image? How long did it take?

I used illustrator to create the paths, then I turned the outlines into shapes... applied gradients and tweaked the sizes. It went through a zillion iterations (actually I don't think this one is the final because the symmetry is off).
I think it took me a couple hours.
